Parmesan Sausage Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 lb of sliced smoked sausage or Italian sausage links.
02 - 4 tbsp butter, split into portions.
03 - 1 tbsp olive oil for cooking.
04 - 3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped.
05 - 1 tsp of an Italian herb mix.
06 - 12 oz of pasta—penne or fettuccine works great.
07 - 1 and a half cups heavy cream.
08 - 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated finely.
09 - Half a tsp of garlic powder.
10 - 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (use if you like a kick).
11 - Salt and black pepper, season as you like.
12 - Parsley leaves, chopped fresh for topping.

# Instructions:

01 - Cook the sausage slices over a medium flame in oil for about 4-5 minutes. Remove them once browned.
02 - In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic for 1-2 minutes. Add the sausage back with Italian herbs, salt, and pepper.
03 - Cook your pasta in boiling salted water until just tender. Don't forget to save half a cup of pasta water before draining.
04 - Simmer heavy cream and garlic powder with melted butter in a pot. Stir in Parmesan until you get a creamy texture.
05 - Combine the pasta with the sauce, using a bit of pasta water to adjust thickness. Add sausage on top and sprinkle parsley.

# Notes:

01 - Stays good in the fridge for up to 3 days.
02 - You can swap the sausage for another protein of choice.
03 - Feel free to toss in things like mushrooms or spinach too.
