Gooey Fudge Blondies (Printable Version)

Soft blondies wrap around a thick fudge middle, making every square ooze chocolate. These are the treats folks won't stop talking about.

# What You'll Need:

→ Fudge Layer

01 - 213 grams semisweet chocolate chips
02 - 104 grams sweetened condensed milk
03 - 14 grams unsalted butter

→ Blondie Layer

04 - 113 grams melted unsalted butter
05 - 200 grams packed light brown sugar
06 - 1 big egg
07 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
08 - 0.125 teaspoon table salt
09 - 127 grams plain flour

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Switch your oven on to 175°C. Put some parchment or foil inside a 20 x 20 cm pan and hit it with a little nonstick spray.
02 - Toss chocolate chips, condensed milk, and butter into a small pan. Keep it on low heat and stir it a lot until it’s all smooth and melty. Let it cool off for a few minutes.
03 - Grab a big bowl and stir together melted butter and brown sugar. Dump in the egg and vanilla, mix till smooth. Add salt and flour next, folding just until everything comes together into a thick dough.
04 - Scoop half the blondie dough into your lined pan and spread it out. Grab the fudge and press it flat with your hands, laying it across the batter. Cover with the rest of the blondie mix so you can’t see the fudge anymore.
05 - Pop it in the oven for 25 minutes. You want the top to look a little golden, but keep the middle kind of soft. Wait until it’s totally cooled down before you cut and grab a piece.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Don’t bake it too long or you’ll miss out on that gooey middle. Wait till the bars are cool, then slice with a sharp knife so they come out neat.
