# Ingredients:

→ For the Dough

01 - 1 cup (240 ml) buttermilk (or 1 cup milk combined with 1 tbsp vinegar/lemon juice)
02 - 2 large eggs
03 - 1 teaspoon baking powder
04 - ½ teaspoon baking soda
05 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
06 - ½ teaspoon salt
07 - 2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour
08 - ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
09 - 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar

→ For the Sugar-Cinnamon Mix

10 - 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
11 - ⅓ cup (70 g) granulated sugar

→ For the Crust Topping

12 - ¼ cup (50 g) granulated sugar
13 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
14 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

# Instructions:

01 - Turn on your oven to 350°F (175°C). Coat a 9x5-inch pan with grease and dust some flour over it or use parchment paper.
02 - Mix flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda in a medium bowl until they’re well combined.
03 - In a large mixing bowl, whip the softened butter and sugar for around 2–3 minutes until it's fluffy and soft.
04 - Toss the eggs into the butter mixture one by one, then stir in the vanilla.
05 - Sift the dry mixture into the wet ingredients little by little, alternating with the buttermilk. Start and stop with the dry bowl, and remember not to mix too much.
06 - Pour half of the mixture into the pan. Layer with half of your cinnamon sugar. Add the rest of the batter followed by the rest of the cinnamon sugar. With a knife, swirl it all together gently.
07 - Place in the oven for 50–60 minutes. Check with a toothpick, and when it comes out clean, remove the loaf. Keep in the pan for 10 minutes to cool slightly before lifting it onto a rack.
08 - Brush the loaf top with melted butter while it's still warm. Combine sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle it across the top generously.
09 - Wait for the loaf to fully cool before slicing. Enjoy on its own or pair with coffee or tea.

# Notes:

01 - Add extra sweetness by drizzling a glaze made with powdered sugar and milk after the loaf has cooled.
02 - For leftovers, seal in a container and keep at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze for a month.
