# Ingredients:

→ Bread Base

01 - 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
02 - 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
03 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
04 - 2 large eggs
05 - 1/2 cup milk
06 - 2/3 cup granulated sugar
07 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

→ Filling

08 - 1 large apple, peeled and finely chopped
09 - 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
10 - 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar

→ Icing

11 - 2 tablespoons milk
12 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
13 - 1 cup powdered sugar

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F. Coat your loaf pan with grease and dust it lightly with flour. Stir cinnamon and brown sugar together in a small dish.
02 - Cream the butter and sugar until smooth. Mix in the eggs and vanilla. Gradually combine the flour and baking powder, then add milk.
03 - Spread half the batter in the pan, layer on half the apples, then sprinkle cinnamon sugar. Repeat with another layer.
04 - Gently press the top layer to settle it. Bake for about 50 minutes, making sure it’s cooked through. Cool it for 10 minutes while still in the pan.
05 - Combine the icing ingredients until they’re smooth and runny. Pour over the cooled loaf.

# Notes:

01 - Pairs nicely with a tart apple variety
02 - Can be stored whole or sliced in the freezer
03 - Keeps well if wrapped and left at room temperature
