Sweet Sauce Made Easy (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - Rice vinegar
02 - Ketchup
03 - Light brown sugar
04 - Soy sauce or tamari
05 - Canned pineapple juice

→ Thickener

06 - Water
07 - Cornstarch

→ Optional

08 - Red food coloring (natural)

# Instructions:

01 - In a pot, toss in everything except the cornstarch and water combo.
02 - Once it hits a boil, stir in the slurry and let it simmer till it thickens.
03 - Let it cool fully and, if you'd like, add the color boost.

# Notes:

01 - Go for canned pineapple juice instead of fresh.
02 - Stays good in the fridge for up to 2-3 weeks.
03 - Sugar substitutes work great too.
