Fried Strawberry Cheesecake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Key Ingredients

01 - 4 oz soft cream cheese
02 - 8 slices of challah or brioche
03 - ½ cup sliced fresh strawberries
04 - 3 tbsp milk
05 - 2 tbsp powdered sugar (extra for sprinkling later)
06 - 2 tbsp butter (for cooking)
07 - 2 large eggs
08 - ¼ cup strawberry jam

# Instructions:

01 - Combine the powdered sugar and cream cheese in a little bowl. Stir until it's nice and smooth.
02 - Take half the bread slices and spread the cream cheese mixture on one side. On top of that, layer some strawberry slices, then a bit of jam. Place another slice of bread over the filling to make a sandwich.
03 - In a flat dish, beat the eggs with the milk until everything’s blended together.
04 - Soak both sides of each sandwich in the egg mix. Warm up a skillet over medium heat and melt some butter. Lay the sandwiches in the pan and cook them for a couple of minutes on each side until toasty and golden.
05 - Once they've browned, remove them and drain them on a plate with paper towels. Before eating, sprinkle powdered sugar over the top.

# Notes:

01 - For crunch, toss some chopped almonds or pecans into the cream cheese mixture.
02 - Uncooked sandwiches can be frozen for up to a month. You can fry them straight from the freezer, but add extra 1–2 minutes per side.
03 - Switch the strawberry jam with raspberry or apricot for a fresh twist.
