02 - 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder.
03 - 1-2 teaspoons vanilla essence.
04 - 1 cup unsalted butter.
05 - 1 1/2 cups thick honey.
06 - 4 1/2 cups icing sugar.
07 - 1 teaspoon vinegar (white).
08 - 2 whole eggs.
09 - 1/2 teaspoon ground anise.
10 - 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice.
11 - 1/4 teaspoon fresh-grated nutmeg.
12 - 1/2 cup hot water.
13 - 1/2 cup quick-mix coffee granules.
14 - 1 cup white sugar.
15 - 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda.
16 - 1/2 cup dairy milk.

# Instructions:

01 - Stir together the coffee and hot water until blended. Toss in butter, sugar, and honey, then heat gently till butter melts completely. Set this aside for 10-15 minutes to cool.
02 - Throw vanilla, anise, nutmeg, and allspice into the cooled mix. Stir till it’s nicely combined.
03 - Stir in eggs, then add the fizzing soda-vinegar mixture, along with baking powder. Combine slowly.
04 - Fold the flour gently into the mix until a dough forms. Cover it up and let it sit either for a few hours or overnight.
05 - Scoop out small portions (about 1 tablespoon each), roll into little balls, and place them on trays. Bake in a 325°F oven for 20-25 minutes.
06 - Whisk milk and powdered sugar into a glaze. Dunk each cooled cookie in and set them to dry before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Swap in cinnamon or cardamom for a flavor twist.
02 - Perfect for sharing in treat bags or as gifts.
03 - Store in the freezer to keep fresh for months.
