French Onion Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 spoons of butter.
02 - 3 spoons of olive oil.
03 - 4 cloves of garlic.
04 - 3 big yellow onions.
05 - A pinch of red pepper flakes.
06 - 1 spoon of soy sauce.
07 - 1 spoon of Worcestershire sauce.
08 - 5½ cups of water.
09 - ½ spoon of cornstarch.
10 - 12 oz of evaporated milk.
11 - 1 pound of pasta.
12 - 2 spoons of beef bouillon.
13 - Some dried spices.
14 - Fresh herbs like thyme and parsley.
15 - ¼ cup Parmesan cheese.
16 - 5 oz Gruyere cheese.

# Instructions:

01 - Over about 30-35 minutes, cook the onions in butter and oil till they look golden and soft.
02 - Toss in garlic, spices, and sauces and let it cook briefly.
03 - Mix the water, cornstarch-milk mixture, bouillon, and herbs, and pour it into the pot.
04 - Drop the pasta in and let it gently simmer while stirring for 20-25 minutes till soft but firm.
05 - Take off heat, mix in cheeses until smooth. Tweak the flavor and thickness if it needs it.

# Notes:

01 - You can caramelize onions beforehand.
02 - It stays good in the fridge for up to 5 days.
03 - Pour in more liquid as it cooks if the sauce gets too thick.
