Momma's meatloaf with glaze (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Meatloaf Base

01 - 2 pounds lean ground beef
02 - 1/2 cup diced white onion
03 - 1 cup plain bread crumbs
04 - 1/2 cup milk (whole, 2%, 1%, or skim)
05 - 1 large egg
06 - 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
07 - 1 teaspoon salt
08 - 1 teaspoon dried basil
09 - 1 teaspoon dried oregano
10 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
11 - 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

→ Glaze

12 - 1/2 cup ketchup
13 - 2 tablespoons brown sugar
14 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9x13-inch pan.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, knead together the ground beef, onion, bread crumbs, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, basil, oregano, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
03 - Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared pan.
04 - Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
05 - In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce to prepare the glaze.
06 - Brush the glaze over the hot meatloaf.
07 - Increase the oven temperature to 400°F and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the meatloaf reaches an internal temperature of 160°F.
