Loaded Cheesy Casserole (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1½ cups cheddar cheese, shredded.
02 - 3 cups creamy mashed potatoes.
03 - 1 pound of ground beef (lean).
04 - 2 tablespoons of brown sugar.
05 - 1 large egg, beaten lightly.
06 - ⅓ cup bacon bits, crumbled.
07 - ½ cup finely diced white onion.
08 - 3 minced garlic cloves.
09 - Salt and pepper to your taste.
10 - 1 cup breadcrumbs, Italian-style.
11 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce.

# Instructions:

01 - Turn oven on to 400°F and let it heat up.
02 - In a big bowl, toss together the ground beef, garlic, onion, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, egg, breadcrumbs, and seasoning.
03 - Flatten the meat mixture evenly into an 8-inch pan.
04 - Top with mashed potatoes, scatter cheese on top, and sprinkle with bits of bacon.
05 - Put foil over the pan and bake it for 30 minutes.
06 - Take the foil off, then bake 10 more minutes until the cheese melts and gets bubbly.

# Notes:

01 - Make it ahead and keep in the fridge.
02 - Good in the fridge for up to 3 days.
03 - Feel free to use leftover mashed potatoes.
04 - Rest 5-10 minutes before you serve it.
