Zucchini Hibachi Style (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Vegetables

01 - 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
02 - 1 big onion
03 - 2 medium-sized zucchinis

→ Seasonings and Oils

04 - 1 tbsp butter
05 - A pinch of salt and pepper
06 - 2 tbsp vegetable oil (try sesame or canola)
07 - Optional: A sprinkle of sesame seeds to top
08 - 2 tbsp soy sauce

# Instructions:

01 - Rinse the zucchinis well. Chop them into sticks about ½ inch wide and 2-3 inches long. Peel the onion, cut it in two, and slice thin half-circles.
02 - Place a large pan or griddle on medium-high heat. Drizzle in the oil and let it heat up until it starts to shimmer.
03 - Toss in the onion slices first. Let them cook for 2-3 minutes until they just start getting see-through. Then add the zucchini.
04 - Sprinkle the chopped garlic on top and pour in the soy sauce. Stir everything around. Let it cook another 5-7 minutes, stirring here and there, until the veggies are soft but keep some crunch.
05 - Just before the veggies are done, add the butter. Stir until it melts and coats everything, mixing beautifully with the soy sauce for a glossy finish.
06 - Taste it and sprinkle on some salt and pepper as needed. If you want, toss in some sesame seeds for a nice touch.
07 - Scoop the vegetables into a dish and serve them while they're hot.

# Notes:

01 - Go for zucchinis that feel firm for a better texture.
02 - Cooking on medium-high keeps the veggies crisp and gives a nice char.
03 - Serve as soon as it's done to enjoy the best flavor.
