Grab a big bowl. Toss in the ground beef, sour cream, ranch mix, bacon bits, and cheese. Stir gently with your hands or a fork. Stop mixing once things hold together. You don't want to squish it too much.
02 -
Break the meat mixture into 6 pieces. Shape them into round patties, keeping the thickness the same for each one. Make a little dip in the middle with your thumb. If it gets sticky, wet your fingers with cold water. This stops the patties from puffing up or sticking to you.
03 -
Get your grill, skillet, or grill pan nice and hot over medium. Lay on the patties. Let them cook and only flip them once. Medium-rare? Go for 54-57°C. Medium is 60-63°C. Well-done hits 71°C. Try not to squish them while they're cooking! Give your cooked burgers a quick rest before putting everything together.
04 -
If you want, toast those buns first. Put a patty on each, pile on lettuce and tomato, squirt some mustard or spread on mayo, or mix it up with something else you like. Eat right away while they're still hot.
