Cottage Cheese Flatbread (Printable Version)

Quick flatbreads using self-rising flour and cottage cheese. Protein-packed, super versatile, and done in no time.

# What You'll Need:

→ Key Components

01 - 1 cup self-rising flour
02 - 1 cup cottage cheese

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Stir together the self-rising flour and cottage cheese in a big bowl until it comes together into a soft, sticky ball. If it’s sticking too much, sprinkle in some extra flour, just a tablespoon at a time.
02 - Scoop the dough onto a floured surface. Cut it into 4 even pieces. Use your hands or a rolling pin to press each one flat into a circle or oval, about 1/4-inch thick.
03 - Warm up a non-stick pan over medium heat. Cook the flatbreads one by one, flipping after 2-3 minutes per side, until you see golden spots and they’re fully cooked.
04 - Eat them warm as-is, or add fun toppings like avocado, honey drizzle, smoked salmon, or hummus.

# Additional Notes:

01 - To make homemade self-rising flour, mix together 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
02 - Cottage cheese adds plenty of protein to this dish.
03 - These work great as a light snack, a meal, or as a base for sweet or savory toppings.
