Vanilla Cinnamon Milk (Printable Version)

A cozy drink featuring vanilla and cinnamon flavors, adaptable for hot or cold versions. Use your favorite milk and sweetener.

# What You'll Need:

01 - 2 cups of regular or plant-based milk.
02 - Half a tablespoon of sweetener or honey (adjust as needed).
03 - 4 whole cinnamon sticks or 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon.
04 - 2 cups water.
05 - Optional: 2 pieces of star anise for a hint of flavor.
06 - 4 vanilla beans, split open, or 4 teaspoons vanilla extract.
07 - Optional: 4 teaspoons loose black tea or 4 tea bags.

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Heat the milk gently in another pot, but don’t let it bubble up.
02 - In a small pot, bring the water to a gentle boil.
03 - Pour the spiced mixture through a strainer directly into the pot of warm milk. Stir in sweetener until dissolved.
04 - Toss in the cinnamon, vanilla, and star anise (if using). Shut off the heat and cover the pot. Skip this part if you’re using ground spices.
05 - Let those spices soak and release their flavors for about 10 minutes. Throw in the tea and steep another 3 to 5 minutes if you’re using it.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Serve it warm or chilled over ice for something refreshing.
02 - You can use any kind of milk you like.
03 - Adding tea is totally optional but gives a great twist.
