Chocolate Cherry Cake (Printable Version)

Cherry pie filling meets chocolate cake mix for a quick cobbler-style dessert. Topped with butter and best served warm with ice cream.

# What You'll Need:

01 - Two 21-ounce cans of cherry pie filling.
02 - Optional: 1/2 teaspoon of almond flavoring.
03 - One box (15.25 oz) of devil's food cake mix.
04 - 3/4 cup butter, cut into thin pieces.

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F and spray a 9x13 pan lightly with oil.
02 - If you're using almond flavoring, mix it into your pie filling. Spread that mixture across the pan.
03 - Evenly cover the cherry layer with dry cake mix. Lay out butter pieces on top of that.
04 - Bake for 45 to 50 minutes. The middle should bubble, and the top will look cooked.

# Additional Notes:

02 - Goes great with ice cream when served warm.
03 - Stays good for 2-3 days in a cool room.
