Cherry Chocolate Bites (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 26 maraschino cherries, dried off.
02 - 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream.
03 - 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder.
04 - 17.25 ounces boxed sugar cookie mix.
05 - 4 ounces soft cream cheese.
06 - 1/4 cup softened unsalted butter.
07 - 1 large egg, at room temperature.
08 - 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks or chips.

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F and let it warm up.
02 - Stir the cocoa powder and sugar cookie mix with a fork.
03 - Use a mixer to whip the butter, cream cheese, and egg until it’s creamy—about 2 minutes.
04 - Combine the dry mix with the creamy blend to form a firm dough.
05 - Drop spoonfuls of dough onto your lined baking sheet.
06 - Put the cookies in the oven for 10-12 minutes.
07 - While still warm, press the middle of each cookie using a small spoon.
08 - Leave cookies until they’re cool to the touch.
09 - Microwave the cream for 30 seconds until it’s just about to boil.
10 - Mix chocolate pieces into the hot cream until melted and smooth.
11 - Pour the melted chocolate into a small plastic bag and cut the tip off one corner.
12 - Pipe the melty chocolate into the hollows in the cookies.
13 - Gently place a cherry into the middle of each chocolate-filled cookie.
14 - Drizzle leftover melted chocolate over your cookies for a finishing touch.
15 - Give the cookies 5 minutes to set up before enjoying them.

# Notes:

01 - Lining the baking sheet with parchment makes cleanup faster and ensures even baking.
02 - Cool cookies on a wire rack with parchment underneath—it catches any leftover chocolate drips.
