Golden, crunchy sandwiches hug creamy strawberries and smooth cheese, then get rolled in sugar for your new favorite sweet bite.

# What You'll Need:

→ For the Sandwiches

01 - 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
02 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
03 - 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
04 - 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
05 - 8 slices white or brioche bread

→ For Frying

06 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar, for coating
07 - 2 large eggs
08 - Vegetable oil, for frying
09 - 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
10 - 1/4 cup milk

→ For Garnish (Optional)

11 - Powdered sugar for dusting
12 - Strawberry sauce or fresh strawberries
13 - Whipped cream

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Just mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla together until you've got a super smooth spread.
02 - Grab four slices of bread and slather on the cream cheese mix. Add the strawberry slices, then top with the rest of the bread. Pinch or press the edges so they stay together.
03 - Crack your eggs into a bowl, splash in the milk, and drop in cinnamon if you'd like. Whisk well. In another bowl, pour the granulated sugar to use for coating later.
04 - Heat the oil in a skillet on medium. Dunk each sandwich into the egg mix, then cook them in the skillet about 1–2 minutes per side. They should go golden brown.
05 - After frying, while they're still hot, roll the sandwiches around in sugar till coated everywhere. Slice in half and pile on whipped cream, berries, or whatever toppings you love!

# Additional Notes:

01 - Switch up the berries—raspberries or blueberries are fun too
02 - A little lemon zest mixed in with the filling perks up the flavor
03 - They're at their best piping hot and extra crispy right after you make them
