Candied Carrots (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - Fresh parsley, chopped, to top it off.
02 - 1/8 teaspoon white pepper.
03 - 1/4 teaspoon salt.
04 - 1/4 cup packed brown sugar.
05 - 1/4 cup butter.
06 - 2 pounds of carrots, cut into slices.

# Instructions:

01 - Put the carrot slices in a big pot and pour enough water to cover them by about an inch. Let it boil, then turn the heat low, cover, and let it cook for 8 to 10 minutes until they’re tender but still crisp.
02 - Pour out the water and place the cooked carrots to the side for now.
03 - In the same pot, stir together butter, brown sugar, pepper, and salt over medium heat until melted.
04 - Toss the carrots back into the pot. Stir them around for about 5 minutes until they're shiny and coated well with the glaze.
05 - Sprinkle parsley on top if you’d like, then enjoy them warm.
