01 -
Preheat the oven to 325°F. Line a 9×13 pan with parchment paper or foil, and grease it very well with butter.
02 -
In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add 2 cups of chocolate chips and stir with a wooden spoon until fully melted.
03 -
Remove the saucepan from heat. Stir in the sugar and vanilla. Whisk or stir in the eggs, one at a time, until the mixture is smooth and shiny.
04 -
Gradually add the flour and kosher salt to the saucepan, mixing until combined. Stir in ¾ cup of chocolate chips.
05 -
Spread the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 28-32 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs. Let cool completely before frosting.
06 -
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, butter, and peanut butter. Beat with an electric mixer until thoroughly combined.
07 -
Gradually add in the powdered sugar, beating until the frosting is thick, creamy, and spreadable. If too thick, add a tablespoon of cream or milk and beat again.
08 -
Spread the frosting over the completely cooled brownies. Chill for 1-2 hours until firm, then slice into bars.
09 -
Store the brownies in an airtight container in the refrigerator or freezer.
