Bang Bang Skewers (Printable Version)

Tender chicken sticks painted with bang bang sauce and cooked just right. Great as a main or starter.

# What You'll Need:

→ Chicken Skewers

01 - 5 g garlic powder
02 - 15 ml extra virgin olive oil
03 - 5 g kosher salt
04 - 2.5 g ground black pepper
05 - 900 g boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 2.5 cm cubes
06 - 16 wooden skewers, soaked for a good half hour
07 - 5 g paprika

→ Bang Bang Sauce

08 - 10 ml Sriracha (add more if you're into spice)
09 - 290 g mayonnaise
10 - 30 ml honey
11 - 160 ml Thai sweet chili sauce

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Toss chicken cubes with pepper, salt, olive oil, paprika, and garlic powder in a big bowl. Make sure the pieces are all well covered.
02 - Take each skewer (they should be soaked) and slide on 4 or 5 chunks of chicken. Repeat until all the chicken is used.
03 - Stir together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, honey, and Sriracha in a bowl. Keep whisking till you get a creamy blend.
04 - Scoop half that sauce into a clean bowl for serving. Use what's left to brush all over your uncooked skewers.
05 - Lay your skewers out in the air fryer so they're not stacked. Cook at 200°C for about 11 or 12 minutes, flipping once in the middle. They're done when the chicken hits 74°C inside.
06 - Move finished skewers to a platter. Slather or drizzle on the sauce you saved. Enjoy while they're hot!

# Additional Notes:

01 - Want to use the oven? Bake at 200°C on a parchment-lined pan for about 20-25 minutes, flip once, and add the sauce just at the end.
02 - Prefer grilling? Fire it up to medium-high and cook 8-10 minutes per side, brushing with sauce only once it's off the grill.
