Baked Chicken Hand Pies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 egg, beaten (for brushing).
02 - 10 pre-made dough circles (6 inches wide).
03 - 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt.
04 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder.
05 - 1 teaspoon onion powder.
06 - 1 tablespoon tomato paste.
07 - 2 teaspoons bouillon powder (chicken flavor).
08 - 2 cups shredded chicken breast (roughly 1.5 lbs).
09 - 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro.
10 - 4 minced garlic cloves.
11 - 1 diced yellow or orange bell pepper.
12 - 1 cup diced red bell pepper.
13 - 1/2 cup finely chopped onion.
14 - 2 tablespoons olive oil (extra virgin).

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 375°F and let it get hot.
02 - Place parchment paper on a baking sheet.
03 - Heat up oil and sauté the onions with peppers for 5 minutes. Toss in garlic and cilantro, cooking for another minute. Add shredded chicken, bouillon, tomato paste, spices, and a cup of water. Stir as it cooks until most of the liquid disappears (around 5-8 minutes).
04 - Spoon about 1/3 cup of the filling onto each dough circle. Leave a tiny border of 1/4 inch. Mix together the egg with 1 spoonful of water for egg wash. Dab it along the edges, fold the dough over to seal it, then press the sides with a fork. Paint the tops with more egg wash.
05 - Bake for roughly 35 minutes, or until they’re crispy and golden.

# Notes:

01 - You can make the dough yourself or grab some from the store.
02 - Freeze them before cooking if you'd like.
03 - If baking frozen ones, tack on extra cooking time.
