Apple Dapple Cake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 cups peeled and chopped apples.
02 - 3 cups of plain flour.
03 - 1½ cups of white sugar.
04 - 1 teaspoon of baking soda.
05 - 1/2 teaspoon salt.
06 - 1½ cups of cooking oil.
07 - 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, ground.
08 - 2 teaspoons cinnamon powder.
09 - 2 teaspoons of vanilla flavoring.
10 - 3 large eggs.
11 - 1/2 cup of tightly packed brown sugar.
12 - 1/3 cup melted butter.
13 - 1/3 cup of heavy cream.
14 - 1/3 cup of each: brown sugar and white sugar.
15 - 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla for the glaze.

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 325°F. Spray a 9x13-inch pan with oil or grease it lightly.
02 - Combine salt, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and baking soda by sifting together.
03 - Whisk eggs with sugar, brown sugar, oil, and vanilla until smooth and blended.
04 - Slowly work the dry mix into the wet one, then gently fold in the apples.
05 - Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 50 to 60 minutes. Pull it out when a toothpick poked in comes out clean.
06 - Cook butter, both sugars, cream, and vanilla until they bubble. Let sit for 5 minutes to cool.
07 - While the cake is still warm, pour the cooled glaze over the top.

01 - Choose crisp apples that are great for baking.
02 - Feel free to toss in 1 cup of nuts if you'd like.
03 - Will stay good for 5 days or up to 3 months in the freezer.
