Caramel Apple Roses (Printable Version)

Flaky pastries shaped like roses, with tender apple slices and a sweet cinnamon-sugar center, finished with a drizzle of caramel.

# What You'll Need:

01 - 3 fresh red apples.
02 - 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground.
03 - Caramel topping for drizzle.
04 - 1 box (17.3 oz) puff pastry, frozen and thawed.
05 - 3 tablespoons of brown sugar.
06 - 1/4 cup of melted butter.
07 - 1 teaspoon regular flour.

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F. Slice each pastry sheet into 6 strips to create a total of 12.
02 - Thinly cut apples into slices after coring and quartering them. A sharp knife or mandolin works best.
03 - Blend the butter, cinnamon, sugar, and flour together. Spread this mixture below the apples on the pastry.
04 - Lay the thin apple slices on the top part of each strip, with the red skin facing outward.
05 - Fold the bottom half of the pastry upward, then carefully roll them into a coil. Place each one in a muffin tray that's greased.
06 - Bake them for 22 to 25 minutes, or until the tops look golden. Allow them to rest for 10 minutes.
07 - Right before eating, add some caramel drizzle on top.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Cut the apples extra thin to make rolling easier.
02 - You can adjust the apple slices after placing them in the muffin pan.
03 - These are best served warm out of the oven.
